Road Safety
Road safety is one of Trafitec's core competences
We stay up-to-date with the latest developments in road safety research and have knowledge of numerous studies from around the world on the effectiveness of various measures. We offer solutions to road safety problems and challenges, such as:
- Accident analysis
- Assessment of accident problems
- Proposed solutions
- Pre-assessment of measures
- Road safety audits
- Accident models and IT tools
- Identification of black spots
- Before-and-after accident evaluations
- With-and-without surveys
- Road safety plans
- Handbooks
- Impact catalog for road safety measures
Our ambition is to produce reliable results
Trafitec performs accident analyses, impact studies, road safety audits, road safety plans, etc. We use recognized methods and our ambition is to produce reliable results.
We produce handbooks and impact catalogs for use by anyone working in the field of road safety. They are used, for example, to select and assess specific measures and form the basis for preparing accident analyses, preliminary assessments and road safety plans.
Often road safety cannot be assessed on the basis of recorded accidents alone. Therefore, we also offer to assess a number of secondary parameters such as interaction behavior, serious conflicts, TTC (time-to-collision), speed, safety distance, inattention, inappropriate behavior, perceived safety, etc. We are trained conflict technique observers according to the Swedish conflict technique.
